Giovanni's Old World New York Pizzeria specializes in thin-crust pizza that's large, cheesy and greasy, just as pizza should be. The Giovanni's on Folsom Boulevard—sibling of the Land Park original and newbie in Natomas——is a spacious and casual pizzeria where you can kick back with a pitcher of beer, watch a baseball game or play video games—circa-1987. Its pizza pie best sellers include cheese, pepperoni and the combination pizza called "Bronx Bomber" (seven-toppings including salami, bacon, mushroom and roasted red peppers). Pair any one these with a mixed green salad and a decanter of red wine and you’ve got dinner plans. Giovanni's has a great family atmosphere that has a little bit of something for kids and adults.
